Back April, Audra, Alex and I took a little road-trip to Asheville, NC to gallivant around town for Audra's Bridal Session. I believe I can speak on behalf of all three of us by saying how much fun it was to experience this session in Asheville. We ended up stopping into a few different shops during the shoot and I was able to capture some beautiful pictures of Audra.

Moving on to the wedding day, I have to say that this was such an incredible wedding to shoot and honestly a blast to attend as well! Everything was gorgeous on the day of the wedding! So, I'm happy to finally get to say, here's to Mr. & Mrs. Light! Congrats y'all!

Its sessions like this that make me LOVE being a photographer even more than before. My favorite types of pictures are the kinds that suck you in to the fun, the emotion, the laughter and the moments.... This session just totally HYPED me up for their wedding in July. Oh my goodness.... Its about to get awesome on here.

The awe of her name reflects the beauty that is Miss Maverick Willow. I couldn't wait to hold this girl and as you can see, I had a legitimate reason. She's absolutely gorgeous! Congrats Jonathan and Leanne!

 

 

 

Making memories.

Editing this session was a very emotional roller coaster for me... I don't usual get all mushy gushy with my work, but this was a game changer for me. Words cannot even begin to explain how intertwined these women are in my life... to the extent that they have had major influence on who I am... in shaping, growing, and challenging me in every circumstance and situation. Michele has walked about every road I could imagine right beside me for the past 7 years, and Logan has been the most loyal friend anyone could ever ask for. Without these women, I'm not so sure Id have the same outlook on life as I do because of them. It was an ABSOLUTE honor making these memories with them, knowing that next week, all we'll have to hold is Logan's pictures in our hands until next Christmas while she is in Australia doing HUGE things with her life...It makes me reflect on my relationship with them and that in itself unveils a lifetime full of memories.These memories.... the ones where it hurts to think they will be on pause for a little while before new ones are made... the ones that include staying up late talking, making music together, midnight road-trips to the mountain,  having a "grown up house" together and actually being pretty responsible with it, all the funny videos we've made, those life experiences that happened and you realize how blessed you are to have these people in your life, the accountability, the standards set, all the advice, the trips together, all the investment into one another, the ups and downs of high school drama and the boys that come along with it, Michele and me trying to figure out how to mend a broken heart because of those boys... all the text, phone calls and random pictures... the unstoppable laughter, the anger, the uncontrollable tears that hurt to watch, the care, the love and the friendship, doing life with two of the worlds most beautiful gems.... the smiles, the pain and the deep breaths we've all three had to figure out how to take together....

This girl, my oh my... shes a cutie! Loved shooting this spur of the moment adventure, and Kate, well I think shes one of the cutest 9 month olds ever!

A Swinging Bridge Engagement Shoot?!?!?! I got a little too excited when I learned that this was the setting for Dustin and Audra's first engagement session. Oh my... an artsy fartsy photographer's dream! Cannot wait to shoot the next engagement session and their wedding in May!
